Nature Trails - USI’s campus has a series of paved and unpaved trails for students to enjoy. The USI-Burdette Trail is a three-mile paved greenway that provides opportunities for safe biking, running and walking. More rustic trails are scattered throughout the wooded areas on the south and northwest sides of campus.
Outdoor Adventure Activities
Originally, I got involved with intramurals because my brother, when he was here a few years ago, him and some friends started up a team. And it's been passed down from person-to-person until I've received it, now, for the Campus Cup traveling trophy.
Year-round, there is always a sport that's going on, men's or women's and then coeds to match it. There's disc golf tournaments. There's golf tournaments. And then my personal favorites are flag football and basketball.
Throughout the year, the outdoor adventures, there's different ones that are offered through the Recreation and Wellness Center that you can go white water rafting. You can go camping. They do all these in different locations that you can be a part of for over-the-night trips. Or sometimes even weekend trips where you can go somewhere in North Carolina or you can go down the Tennessee or do various trips like that.
